"The Constitution of most of our states (and of the United States) assert that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves; that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed and that they are entitled to freedom of person, freedom of religion, freedom of property, and freedom of press."
In a science-fiction story, the author is usually allowed one or two "given" suspensions of disbelief; for example, faster-than-light technology. I'm not a scientist or a university professor; I don't work for NASA or the Air Force; I've very little scientific background for the various technological theories I use in this story. But I do read a lot, by people who are so qualified, and I used to watch a little TV - like the History Channel, Discovery Channel, and Learning Channel, which often go into such theories in significant detail.
I've no idea if this will ever be published. I started it mainly as an exercise in personal escapism and have no realistic plans for anything more, at this time.
