Engraved Colts.
Vintage S&Ws, and accoutrements.
SMLE pr0n. I had another photo, of the ones to the right, but it got lost when I fumbled a file transfer.
NASA commemorative astronaut/survival knife. The vendor mentioned how the makers had hoped people would snap them up and they'd Grow In Value. I asked him how many Winchester commemoratives, like M1894s, had been offered. We nodded at each other.
Winchester M1895s. The one in front is the Russian military model, 7.62x54mmR, with bayonet lug and charger guide. From books, I'm of the impression that more than half of all M1895s ever built were in this configuration. Legend has it there are a couple hundred thousand sitting in some ex-Soviet warehouse waiting for someone to make a deal.
Trench knives. I used to have a cheap knockoff of the US M1918. These are neither knockoffs nor cheap. Note the ship name on one of the hilts. History.
The famous Type 96 Japanese light machinegun with bayonet. Note the front sight offset to the left, to clear the top-mounted magazine, and the likewise offset rear sight, while this specimen is also fitted with an optical sight offset to the right.
Arisakas. Some were last-ditch, some were surprisingly fine examples with intact chrysanthemums, monopods, dust covers, and anti-aircraft wings on the rear sights. Much Japanese material at this show.
Paradox guns. I've been reading about these on the email lists. My impression is that modern shotguns can be fitted with standard threaded choke tubes to duplicate the effect.
Honkin' huge double rifles. The one at top was 10 bore. 4" Leatherman SideClip for scale.
Cartridge. Breechloading. Howdah. .577. Yee-haw.
I'd known about military, or police, versions of the Winchester M1873 and '76 (side lug), like for the RCMP. I had not previously known of one on the M1866 (socket).
Brass for your old Brit. I didn't examine the .450, but the .577 was Boxer-primed and appeared to use standard Large primers. So if you have an old Snider or Martini-Henry, they can be made to speak again.
