RIFLEMAN'S JOURNAL - MARCH 2017
The World Sucks
There's a slowdown at work and the minimum-wage temps
are the first to get laid off.
I'm told to expect to return Friday but
that's not how MY world works....
TIMELY VISUAL AID.
And massive vote fraud.
And my taxes are still propping up parasites who hate me for the color of MY skin.
“To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.”
"There is no worse tyranny than to force a man to pay for what he does not want merely because you think it would be good for him."
Codrea observes the perspective o' the last eight years. It's not Republican NRA members doing it in either country.
"If the grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan were the secretary of education & wanted to sabotage black academic achievement, he couldn't do better than keeping our public school system as it is." Burn the government schools. Remember the federal Department of Education was created within living memory, by Jimmy Malaise I-[Heart]-Yasser-Arafat Carter.
And the colleges too. Of course the "tolerant", "inclusive" "students for peace" might beat us to it....
Which segues to, They Are All So F***ing Ignorant:
black holes are "raaaaaaacist"
the island will tip over
ghost guns with a thirty-caliber clip in half a second
and now the sky is falling. Of course the Prophet did write about that very thing and several times in these pages I've wished for a GiantFlamingMeteor to obliterate the wretched hive of scum and villainy....
Maybe some of the newspapers too. So agenda-driven bigots printing the home addresses of innocent, private citizens because they're doing something the bigots don't like is some kind of "public service" for "social justice", but publishing the contact information for elected public servants is "intimidation" and "harrassment"?
Immigrants Contributing to Society.
Not unrelated, I no longer regret never having served in the military.
RINO backstabbing against Constitutional Carry in North Carolina.
In Lighter News
Even with the universe constantly finding new and inventive ways to poop on me, once in a while I smile.
You can expect Aurora, parts 61 and 62, tomorrow-ish. Kinda starting a new story arc and hopefully resolving one of the big subplots. I'm spending too much time with the ickytrainbuspeople and getting back to the hovel too late and disgusted to polish and post them tonight but tomorrow I don't have a job. If you find this fictional future history entertaining, please consider a charitable donation through the PayPal buttons on the top or bottom of most pages on this site. Thank you.
"Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort."
Next time someone objects to questioning the patriotism of Democrats and "liberals", smack them right in their lying face. There are some really sick, hate-filled people claiming to be "caring" and "compassionate".
And remember these are generally the same people who keep inviting unassimilable serial rapists and actual hate-filled murderous terrorists and expecting them to be propped up with real Americans' taxes.
But they call us violent and intolerant.
Likewise, astroturf in Alabama.
MASSIVE VOTE FRAUD
Boycott the airlines and burn TSA to the ground. Wand-raping little old ladies and stuffing hands down toddlers' pants but hiring actual criminals and letting them steal from their customers for years.

Remember, peasant, you need a factory to build a gun. And then you take a real one off a dead fascist.
The Heller and McDonald decisions were hailed as great advances for restoring the natural human right to keep and bear arms, by recognizing that the right exists and by incorporating it, through the 14th Amendment, to the entire nation. Kolbe v. Hogan could be the next increment. Ooooooorrrr bloody civil war. I'm getting too old and creaky for that Red Dawn stuff but I hope I can take at least one of the fascists with me.
Michael G. sends, Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer helped a Muslim child-rapist enter the United States. Gosh, what would someone call that sort of thing? There should be a word for it....
Butbutbut Immigrants Contribute to Society!
And speaking of serial child-rapists, what if Pizzagate is not a paranoid conspiracy theory?
And speaking of the "religion of peace", in my fictional future history the genocidal dictatorial backlash against the atrocities committed by the followers of Islam began in France.

Is it white Christian Republican NRA members making bomb threats against Jewish centers? NO. NO IT IS NOT.
Constitutional Carry advances again in South Dakota, North Dakota (for state residents only), and Alabama. Give it a push.
I've linked this before: All the hate-filled Orwellian propaganda in print and on screens large and small and Our Side complains we don't do anything in response?

The "environmental" movement is not and never has been about the environment. Twenty-four kilotons of trash? Two WW2 cruisers' worth of trash? How the f*** did they get it all there in the first place?
I am still waiting for TSA agents' rotting corpses dangling from streetlights along every Airport Way in the country, birds pecking at their lifeless eyes MAY THEY ALL BURN IN HELL.
Still uppity in Texas, including Constitutional Carry action. I would move there if it passed, border issues and weird weather and all. If I weren't broke and unmotorized and spending hours on a bus every day to park other people's cars for minimum wage....
Fabbers will change the world and they're getting closer all the time.
Made a slight edit to Aurora, part 62, adding a few words and a planetary flag. 63 is underway, while the Muse speaks.
Show and chat every Sunday 1100PT.
Just yesterday I observed that the environmental movement is not and never has been about the environment and Michael G. sends more evidence. "These are just two cases of many showing that eco-activism and climate alarmism can be toxic, because they are not based on either science or reality." But they are forced on the rest of us at the point of a government gun.
Remember, peasant, vote fraud is "extremely rare" and has no meaningful impact on elections.
Hey remember when white conservatives demanded blood in the streets during the Obama regimeME NEITHER.
Oooooookay, the Muse took me in a different direction, or rather a wider turning radius, than I had intended with Aurora, part 63-and-subsequent. Gotta be careful to not write myself into a corner. As David Drake wrote, "Writing isn't easy if you care about the result."
Lemme get this... "straight": A Hillary-supporting Muslim shoots up a gay night club and it's all, somehow, the NRA's fault?
In the place where Sweden used to be, "This is the state of liberalism today. So determined to prove I am wrong, my observations erroneous, the stories I have on tape inaccurate, that it has lost all sight of the raped migrant child crumpled in the corner."
But tell me again how immigrants contribute to society.
Ongoing Constitutional Carry action (and respondent slander from "Authorized Journalists") in Tennessee.
Open Carry, the normalization of which is an increment toward Constitutional Carry, action in Florida.
Celebratory in New Hampshire: “There’s gotta be 200 guns here and I’ve never felt safer.”
Michael G. sends backlash. FREE STICKMAN. Do the "anti"-fascists want escalation? My side already has all the guns and we know how to use them.
Then he sends some truly Lighter News: Justice Clarence Thomas sharply criticizes civil forfeiture laws. ...Remember that meme where Justice Thomas wanted to make it clear that he sleeps with the pillow under his head? Breitbart Syndrome isn't paranoia if the Other Side is constantly saying out loud in as many of their own words how much they hate us and want us to die....
Almost a decade ago (sigh) my sister and I took a road trip through Montana and Wyoming where I made some observations on the wolf issue. Comes now word that sanity appears to be returning.
Looks like the GOP likes the idea of forcing people to buy something from the government at government gunpoint. And that's different from the other side how exactly?
I'm not the first to observe that every twenty or thirty years the envirofascists switch their panicked bleating from "global" "warming" to deadly ice age. Every time, The Only Solution is for everyone but them to give up all industry and technology and freeze to death in the dark. Michael G. comments, "The theory was that the Permian mass extinction, the biggest, was caused by global warming from the CO2 released by the Siberian traps. New evidence is that instead it was caused by an ice age from the sulfur particulates released by the Siberian traps. Funny how that 'settled science' and 'consensus' thing works out."
Col. Kratman's latest column reminds me that "People who make excuses for communism are just as disgusting as people who make excuses for the Nazis, and should be treated as such."
In related news, defenders of free speech are banned from speaking freely. But. They. Call. Us. "Nazis".
AND "RACIST" TOO.
Hey remember how, for eight years of the Obama usurpation, there was all that right-wing TV programming fantasizing about wiping out the entire administration and millions of people who sided with it? ME NEITHER.
Immigrants contributing to society.
Speaking of which, and the utter incompetence and/or unwillingness of hired government thugs to do anything about it, from the place where France used to be, Michael G. sends Poachers broke into the Thoiry Zoo in France and killed a white rhinoceros for its horn, commenting, "Maybe John McCain, Lindsay Graham and people like them should think twice before any trips to France since it isn't safe for white rhinos." [dah-dum-kish]
Constitutional Carry advances yet again in South Dakota, where it may be vetoed by an oath-breaking anti-self-defense governor but in perspective, "The upshot is that it causes all parties, from senators and members of the house to the governor and law enforcement, to go public with their views. Then gun rights activists know who to target in the next election."
A little tiny bit of sanity returning to campus and courts: Michael G. sends, "Expelled student's suit against Amherst allowed to proceed - the student expelled for rape from Amherst after a female student performed fellatio on him while he was unconscious. It turned out she had written an article for Huffington Post saying she wanted to see a man expelled from Amherst for rape, and after seeing that evidence of malice not even the unstable SJW freak in a black robe appointed by Obama was willing to dismiss the man's lawsuit."
What have you done for the Cause?
It's not and never has been Republican NRA members slaughtering each other by the hundreds in Chicago and NOBODY WANTS TO TALK ABOUT THAT.
YET ANOTHER FAKE HATE CRIME. If some worthless parasitic snowflake says it's been attacked by one of Our Kind, presume it is lying and falsifying evidence.
But if you want a real hate crime, look no further than the violent unhinged bigots who don't want us able to defend ourselves.

To which dots connect, more than a year ago was reported that after the place where Britain used to be banned guns, they got hand grenades. Michael G. now sends the same thing in the place where Sweden used to be, commenting, "I've got an idea. Why not stop denying Swedes the ability to defend themselves, and stop vilifying and prosecuting those who do defend themselves?"
In immediate Inbox followup he then sends "And remember, all 'right thinking, compassionate' people think the US should emulate Sweden. A man who was witness to a murder has been murdered himself, along with his wife, by friends of the suspects in the first murder. '- All have non-Western names. I know that one is African. I think the rest have a background in the Middle East or North Africa, said the source.'"

Are they still arguing about Constitutional Carry in Arkansas? I was under the impression they already had it.
I don't like Glocks. Ugly, no manual safety, preferred by armed-robbers-in-costume who barely know which end the hot stuff comes out of, IckyPlasticPhooey, burn the Gastonian heretics, All Hail Saint John. But nonsense like this makes me want to go buy one, in an unregistered private sale. BECAUSE F*** YOU THAT'S WHY. "Interestingly, a complete exemption would be included for the U.S. government and agencies." Well of course it would. Just as police will be exempt from using the "smart" guns whose concept was supposedly introduced for their use to prevent badged highway robbers from being shot with their own weapons.
Ongoing Constitutional Carry action in Tennessee and Alabama. Push.
Maybe, in the distant future, they won't be called "fabbers". Maybe they'll be called "Codys".
The other day I linked Lies of Omission, an effort to counter the Old Media's endless stream of slander. There are others.
I'm not sure which side of the line this belongs on: Serendipity.

Codrea expands on the RINO backstabbing in Florida.
Ever more violence on campus. Don't go to college.
The next time you hear a feminist expressing support for Islamic "refugees"....
And speaking of the "religion of peace" toward which we should be "tolerant and inclusive", there was an episode of Babylon 5 where an alien race was escaping a totalitarian regime which suppressed art. There was a movie, Equilibrium, where emotions were considered the source of society's ills and art was condemned for evoking emotions. Then there's all that actual historical National Socialist book-burning and censorship and "degenerate art" exhibits. But that could never happen again... RIGHT?
Old Media Visual Aid o' the Day. Which doesn't mean I've suddenly become a proponent of the Thin Blue Line:

Constitutional Carry and other action in South Carolina. Michael G. sends yet another reminder that "People who make excuses for communism are just as disgusting as people who make excuses for the Nazis, and should be treated as such."
To which dot connect, burn the colleges.
We told them "climate" "change" was a made-up scam and they called us "racist".
Speaking of "racism", back here I predicted watermelons would become a symbol of it and not long after things started heading that way and now it's milk as some Seeeecret Raaaaacist Dog Whistle? This is supposed to be the Social Justice Warriors' compelling argument? Reckon I'll hafta go get a gallon. And then some chocolate flavor powder to stir in to make ALL the heads explode. Because f*** all of you psychotic morons.
Richard Williams of GunSafeAble.com alerted me to a couple dead links, so I fixed those and added his.
Show and chat every Sunday 1100 Pacific Time.
Aurora, part 63, is online. One thing that's worried me for a long time is the different calendars, Terran/Gregorian vs. Jeffersonian/Monticellan (the planet Monticello, named for Thomas Jefferson's home of which he was the architect, is the fictional second planet in the Tau Ceti system). Way back when I started writing this universe I did some actual math and generated a spreadsheet with formulae to make conversions, with a plus or minus offset because the Monticellan calendar starts arbitrarily on 11 April 2009 CE, the date of the Jeffersonian Republic's Declaration of Independence - and the days and years are different lengths too. Researching the problem to see how other authors tackled it I happened across the concept of decimal time, in which each day of the calendar has a decimal value relative to the whole year, not unlike the stardates in (some) incarnations of Star Trek.
Turns out I didn't have that quite right, especially the offset, but lacking a dead-tree book to read I've been taking my laptop (donated by Michael G.!) to work for breaktime use, with some ebooks on it and copies of the HTML files in which I write the story. Well, over the last couple days I revisited that spreadsheet and I think I've got it fixed. Here's screenshots:
Note, in each image, there are two cells highlighted. In the first image, at lower left, B112 in the horizontally-split screen, is April 11th, the date my fictional Founders fictionally Escaped from Terra in 2009CE. That has a value, at the end of the day, of 0.276522951 of a year (figuring a year as 365.25 days or 8766 hours to smoosh in the leap years). Then in the upper split, C8 (and C9 which I simply duplicated for convenience), is one of the two formulae, which you can see revealed in the editing box: a Monticellan/Republic date from A8 or 9, also expressed as decimal time, multiplied by the fractional difference between the Monticellan and Terran year, plus the offset of 2009.276523 Terran years, so I can plug in a Jeffersonian Republic/Tau Ceti II date and get an Anno Domini/Common Era date. The cells in C4 and C5 above that reverse the formula algebraically (from inputs in A4 or 5) so I can plug in AD and get JR. Thus 562.116 is very early in the notional morning (Monticello Standard Time, set on the longitude of Central Terminal, the big spaceport on South Continent, and of Monticello Station in synchronous orbit above it) of 22 Firstmonth in the 562nd Monticellan year of the Republic, which translates to about midday on 17 September 2360AD. In the second image, B271 is the aforementioned 17 September, while A4 is just a round number plugged in to demonstrate the reverse formula, highlighted in C4 and revealed in the editing box. So New Year's Day in 2300AD just happens to be about 2 Firstmonth 465JR - bearing in mind a Monticello/Republic year is roughly two-thirds Terran, the ends of each are going to sort of line up once in a while.
Now note the two pairs of columns in the lower pane. Those pairs do not interact with each other by formula, nor are they aligned with each other in any way other than coincidence - the Monticellan year has 181 days, each of which is six-and-a-bit hours longer than a Terran day. The two pairs of columns are simply tables to look up the decimal value of any calendar date, which is then manually tacked onto the whole-number year being used in the story, then plugged into the upper cells' formulae to get the other-calendar decimal equivalent, which is then looked up in the other column to get the date. Column A is the AD calendar date, B is that date expressed as a decimal of a Terran year. D is the fictionally-arbitrary Monticellan/Republic/Tau Ceti II date, which would be written as "1 Firstmonth", "23 Fifthmonth", etc; days are 30-hours-and-a-few-minutes long, there are six months in the fictional Tau Ceti II year, the first five have 30 days, the last 31-and-a-few-leftover-hours and computerized timepieces tack the extra onto the end in what's called "Tempus Gratis" in Republic culture. Column E is the decimal expression of a Monticellan calendar date. The only formulae in those columns are, the first date in each has a value of the end of that day relative to that calendar's year - 0.002737851 Terran, 0.005524862 [WRONG: 0.003454131] Monticellan. Then the cell below is (cell above + that same value), repeated all the way down, so 12/31 and 6/31 end up at 1.0 or close enough for story purposes.
And all that without a single drop of rum college degree or Microsoft Excel certificate.
So that's how I tackle the problem of converting alien calendars for different planets for writing science fiction and I hope those keywords turn up in your search engine if you have the same problem. Now I have to go back through everything I've written and fix several dates. Fortunately I was deliberately vague about the Terran date-equivalents and there won't be many to change. If you find this solution useful for your own writing, or this fictional future history entertaining, please consider a charitable donation through the PayPal buttons on the top or bottom of most pages on this site. Thank you.
Foreign Correspondent Jacob N., Trapped in New York, warns of the next bad thing. "If the phrase 'President Andrew Cuomo' doesn't curdle your blood and induce existential terror, it should."
In the place where Sweden used to be, Michael G. sends "The social burden on the family, after being outed, is massive for the family, as they are considered outcasts by society because of how the media reports the news" of an innocent, decent, reasonable Swedish citizen subject asking questions about unchecked, unexamined mass immigration by unassimilable rape-and-murder gangs from Islamic countries who are also actual bomb-planting terrorists. “We will examine who lives near the stairwell and knock on doors to see if anyone saw or heard anything yesterday” and then ostracize them and maybe throw them in jail if they did.
This has been going 'round the Nets: A glorious trophy of war. Note the "Operation Orion" fake Wikipedia insert.
Hey I screwed up the calendar again, losing one whole day at the end of the Monticellan year, 31 Sixthmonth. And there will still be a creeping error that will build over decades or centuries. Close enough for story purposes. Back to the HTML mines.... Pretty sure I got them all this time.
I hereby coin the terms RINOcare or GOPEcare. With Big-Brother sauce in a backstabbing bun.
Blogbrother SMLE Fan has the Timely Immigration Analogy o' the Day.
Michael G. sends the MASSIVE WELFARE FRAUD o' the Day. $100,000 would hit the big fat "RESET" button on my whole f***ing life. I'm struggling to come up with rent for a slum and these parasites live fat and happy off my taxes.
Speaking of massive tax frauds, "Green Energy".
Speaking also of massive tax frauds, BURN THE GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS. Free-market education now. If it isn't already too late.
And the colleges too.
You gotta wonder how long it will be until we get suicide bombings and for once I'm not talking about Islam.
Years ago I made this bumper sticker:

I think I covered this a week or two ago, but it bears repeating: Burn the blatantly racist and openly anti-American government schools.

And as if on cue, Ontario Mayor Calls Criticism Of Muslim Prayers In School 'Hate Speech'. Soon I'll be referring to the place where Canada used to be.
How many times have I said a "no guns" sign is the moral equivalent of one that says "no blacks" or "no Jews"? That begging some bureaucrat bigot's permission to exercise a natural human right is no better than wearing the gelben stern? "There are some who love their enslavement to the state."
For further example, the man who supports the political party that put him, personally, in a concentration camp.
Hey... what if the Obama regime really did wiretap the Trump campaign?
Michael G. sends All We Could Do Was Scream "...because, you see, Germans aren’t allowed to carry guns unless they are police officers." And how's that working out for you? Would those be the same police officers who obeyed orders to turn water cannons on German citizens for the "crime" of protesting the immigration of just such violent criminals? "Please, someone make the comment about how this response is morally better than an armed citizen shooting the asshole in the face. Then explain that to the 13-year-old girl who nearly had her arm hacked off."
And that's different from here how exactly?

Remember that dystopian totalitarian movie Gattaca? That was just a story... RIGHT?
And they wonder why their ratings are down.
In a followup to a case I've linked here before (unless there are more than one such, which is quite possible), Michael G. sends Don't Go to College, Chapter MMMMMXVIII.
Bears repeating: The Most Transparent Administration in History.
Meanwhile in the place where Europe used to be, unassimilable third-world savages murder a rare zoo animal to steal its parts and the zoo's response is to saw off those very parts from the rest of the animals.
Some time ago I wrote "...[T]he United States of America had reached a point where more than half of all government spending was in entitlements, where there were more people living off other people's work than there were working for a living - and they all had votes. Naturally they voted for more and ever more of other people's money. Eventually the money ran out. The government printed more but the whole world knew it was worthless. The whole system collapsed."
Michael G. sends, even USA Today is questioning the Southern Poverty Law Center's honesty.
"We haven't seen a news media fail this epic since Geraldo Rivera opened Al Capone's empty vault." But remember, peasant, you should only get your news from "Authorized" "Journalists".
BACON NEEDS NO EXCUSE
How does one mark the anniversary of the cause of death for a hundred million human beings?
Hey remember when pirates were international outlaws and could be executed on sight by anyone who cared to bother? How are things since we stopped doing that?
So the other day was the story of a fake rape accusation against an actual rape victim at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, which I thought was a followup to a similar case, which Michael G. informs me was in fact a separate but alarmingly similar case at Amherst in Massachusetts. Don't Go to College.
And speaking of college and the professors in them, and the government-school brainwashing factories they came from.

Speaking of your tax dollars, blogbrother SMLE Fan smacks NA$A. I have said many times, over years, we shoulda had a Trump Tower hotel-casino-resort in Luna City thirty f***in' years ago and NA$A is why it didn't happen.
Speaking also of your tax dollars, propping up parasites who refuse to work and who vote for ever more of the fruits of your labors.
By which I mean.

Baiting-and-switching and gutting-and-stuffing of a necessary self-defense bill in Idaho.
Continuing RINO backstabbing in Florida.
Speaking of RINOs and backstabbing, John McCain actually made TV ads to outlaw the voluntary exchange of private property in Oregon and Colorado. Michael G. sends the case for term limits.
I think I mentioned this before: Constitutional Carry action in Alabama. More.
LUGER note the subtly-elongated trigger guard.
All we ever wanted was to be left alone and they just can't do that.
In support of which, Michael G. sends the vanishing line between parody and policy.
For further example, Battleground Nevada, which recently lost ground to Bloomberg-bought bigotry.
While the GOPE and the Lairds of Fairfax are doing what for us?
Immigrants! Contributing to Society!

Remember, peasant, REAL SOCIALISM HAS NEVER BEEN TRIED!
'MURICA. BECAUSE F*** YOU AND PRAISE KEK, THAT'S WHY.
Repeating, Constitutional Carry action in North Carolina and South Carolina. Push.
Michael G. sends, USAF testing anti-drone shotshells. I could make those my ownself - fishing line with ordinary split-sphere fishing weights crimped on, carefully packed into the wad, trial and error to get a good crimp. A rifled barrel, or rifled choke tube, would give the wad/shotcup thingy a spin on the way out, to spread the weights for full extension. Aaaaaand the Air Force will probably spend about seven and a half million taxbucks developing something that doesn't work as well as what I just gave away for free. (Parking cars in the rain for minumum wage effective net pay of about $8/hour.)
Kevin at The Smallest Minority goes into some detail explaining voluntarism, individualism, and the nature of government. I am a minarchist, shading toward voluntarist. The Prophet Heinlein also examined this in some detail. Which segues to:

[4:42:34 PM] SMLE Fan: you can lose the last two words, which is the "self-aware" part
[4:43:19 PM] Jeffersonian: "The Republic hereby declares the perpetrators of the Sherrington Atrocity to be hostis sapiens generis - enemies of all sentient life."
[4:44:15 PM] SMLE Fan: aaand the direct, proper translation of "enemies of all sentient life" is what I just sent....
[4:44:31 PM] Jeffersonian: I like the three words better
[4:45:55 PM] SMLE Fan: humans, being sloppy as we are, would prolly just talk about "life", presuming the "sentient" part, since fungi and stuff like that generally don't speak/write, speshully in a dead language that's used for coolness points
[4:46:22 PM] Jeffersonian: well it's got to be hostis something generis
[4:46:25 PM] Jeffersonian: enemy of all something
[4:47:10 PM] Jeffersonian: "They are Outlaw, and their lives and property are forfeit without penalty to whoever wishes to take them, throughout Republic and allied territory, at any time."
[4:47:22 PM] SMLE Fan: K, besides, with all the effort you've made to get the science right, you might as well throw a bone to the language trolls
[4:48:07 PM] Jeffersonian: http://www.stars21.com/translator/english_to_latin.html
[4:48:10 PM] SMLE Fan: btw, "sentient" is a direct cognate
[4:48:25 PM] SMLE Fan: "sentiens", properly
[4:48:42 PM] Jeffersonian: "enemy of all life" = "inimice omnis"
[4:48:53 PM] SMLE Fan: "sapiens", IIRC, is "thinking"
[4:49:09 PM] SMLE Fan: that'll work
[4:49:12 PM] Jeffersonian: "hostis humani generis" = "enemy of the human race"
[4:49:38 PM] Jeffersonian: "hostis sapiens generis" = "the enemy of the wise man of the race"
[4:50:02 PM] Jeffersonian: I think I'll stick with sapiens generis
[4:50:12 PM] Jeffersonian: besides, it's a direct play on the old pirate thing
[4:50:22 PM] SMLE Fan: hostis sentiens generis is prolly what you're after
[4:52:54 PM] Jeffersonian: "I sensed the enemy of the stock of"
[4:53:39 PM] Jeffersonian: same at http://en.eprevodilac.com/prevodilac-latinski-engleski
[4:54:04 PM] SMLE Fan: if that's the reverse translation, then you should go with 'sapiens'
[4:54:18 PM] Jeffersonian: whereas hostis sapiens generis, enemy of the wise man of the race, can be understood as enemy of all thinking beings
[4:54:31 PM] Jeffersonian: yup, that's what I'll use
[4:55:18 PM] SMLE Fan: just save this, so that when you get attacked by an enraged language nerd, you won't have to re-type this all out :D
[4:55:32 PM] Jeffersonian: SKYPE SHOW
[4:55:38 PM] SMLE Fan: heh
Didn't I just say? They are not capable of leaving anyone alone.
To which dot connect, Europe's continental suicide continues. Inviting subliterate unassimilable third-world rape gangs and preventing the decent people from defending themselves. I'm waiting for the people of Europe to rise up and lynch their entire ruling classes but that sort of thing appears to have been bred out of them. Adding Firearms United to my front and links pages.
Important precedent potential in Kansas, on which Michael G. comments, "Question: Did the governor order the state AG to support the defendants in their federal trial, or is he just trying to get some pro gun rights credit on the cheap?" Well now, Brownback did sign Constitutional Carry, didn't he? He's still a prohibitionist, with all the wrong-door-kicking, puppy-shooting, toddler-flash-banging thuggery that entails, but Kansas remains high on my list of escape destinations.
Michael G. sends the Snowflake-Melting o' the Day.
To which dot connect "global" "warming".
Aurora, part 64, is online. Now I have to fight-write my way out of the sidetrack the Muse steered me down.
Felony assault and incitement to riot in the name of "tolerance". But they call us "hate groups".
Michael G. sends, "Some Dutch are waking up but it doesn't appear to be enough, fast enough. The optimistic scenario is a free enclave establishes which eventually retakes the rest of the country. That is what happened in the revolt against Spain, and even there they failed to recover what is now Belgium."
MidWestReader contemplates handgun design philosophy: "Once upon a time, when FMJ roundnose was the only ammunition there was for semiauto handguns, and these pistols had short steep feedramps and single-stack magazines that held the top cartridge as low as possible, there were not lots of reports of extraction or ejection problems. The current design philosophy for striker-fired polymer pistols is magazines that hold the top cartridge as high as possible, so as not to interfere with the feeding of wide-mouth JHP rounds or more exotic shapes, and these pistols often, though not always, are designed so the fired cartridge case being pulled out of the chamber may bump into the front of the magazine tube, or the top cartridge, to help bump it out of the ejection port. Nowadays one hears of Glocks giving users brass to the face--though it was not always commonplace, and may be an artifact of recent money-saving design changes to use extractors and ejectors that are MIM and stamped sheetmetal respectively instead of milled tool steel. M&Ps in 9mm do it occasionally. Glocks and M&Ps in .40 have very vigorous extraction and do not exhibit BTTF. XDs don't give the user BTTF that I know of, though the .45 versions are finicky about ammo, particularly cast lead flatnose bullets, due to the top round in the magazine being held so high. I wonder whether there is an optimum magazine feed lip height, and an optimum cartridge case diameter, for reliable function."

[5:53:06 PM] SMLE Fan: "The Model 1879 Reichsrevolver is not a complex revolver, a surprise considering that Germany has always had a reputation for producing revolutionary weapons designs. It was a simple and robust revolver, but unfortunately the M1879 was far...."
[5:53:33 PM] Jeffersonian: Ian and/or Othias Did A Video on that
[5:53:45 PM] SMLE Fan: I must have missed the definition of "revolutionary" that includes "ridiculously over-engineered"
[5:54:12 PM] Jeffersonian: [cough]FALLSCHIRMJAEGERGEWEHR[coughcough]

So a while back, a black gay Obama-voting TV reporter murdered his white coworker for imagined racism. Comes now Sudden Social Justice Syndrome.
But America's richest hate group calls us "racist".
Hey... what if... the Obama regime... really did spy on the Trump campaign? And would that, somehow, be morally different from a Republican administration spying on a Democrat candidate?
And the two parties are different how exactly?
They both seem to hate Trump and want him to die.
"...Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu threatened, 'Soon wars of religion ... will start in Europe.' This might happen because, he added, 'We could open the way for 15,000 refugees ... each month and blow [Europe’s] mind.'" Aaaaaaand I'm a prophet. Okay, sure, let's have a rematch between the Cross and the Crescent. How many thermonuclear-tipped submarine-launched ballistic missiles does Al Qaeda have? Do you really want to let that djinn out of its bottle? BECAUSE MY SIDE IS HOLDING THE STOPPER AND WE'RE GETTING TIRED OF YOUR S***.
"Government spending as a percent of the total economy went through the roof, from 2 percent in 1900 to more than 20 percent today." But when I proposed a Constitutional cap on government spending this one guy looked at me like I was crazy. Like he thought all that stuff really was government's business.
And speaking of totalitarian regimes, it's not paranoia if they really do want to put us all on a government list. There's only one reason to do that.
Some people say "Trump is defunding NPR" like it's a bad thing.
Illegal immigrants are cancelling SNAP benefits to avoid deportation. And that is the way it should be. As a sometime-libertarian, people entering my country bothers me less than people entering my country and living off my taxes while refusing to work for a living.
Potential increments in Iowa, Occupied Colorado, and West Virginia, which already has Constitutional Carry. Take it all back a piece at a time, the same way it was lost.
Right on cue, Constitutional Carry advances in North Dakota. My understanding is, the present version would be for state residents only, like Idaho and Wyoming, but the same strategy applies.
Likewise in South Dakota, which I have not heard or read has a residency requirement, but may face has been vetoed by an oathbreaking RINO governor. Override and ram it down his rape-and-massacre-enabling throat.
Snark o' the Day from Michael G.: "Hearing the news about Chuck Berry's death made me think of Back to the Future, and that made me think how today's snowflakes would accuse Michael J. Fox of 'cultural appropriation' for his Chuck Berry routine in that movie. And that made me think: If someone says something to you about cultural appropriation, say, 'Can you hear that? It's the ghost of Chuck Berry laughing at the idea white kids can't listen to or play black music.'"
No really, don't go to college, where due process goes to die and where anyone who isn't a raving totalitarian is a second-class citizen.
It's not paranoia if they really are threatening or actually committing violence against anyone who doesn't think exactly like them.
Not unrelated, Col. Kratman's latest column continues examining riots. As always, don't miss the footnotes and comments.
'...[D]eliberately wanting a kid to be handicapped because "It's our culture!"'
Speaking of sick psychotic self-destructive perverts, "feminists" for Islam against Jews.
Some people say "Trump is cutting arts funding" like it was a bad thing. Which is a thing I have also examined.
Bill of Rights, including what is now the Second Amendment: 1791. Eight-shot revolver: 1597. Staggeringly-ignorant bigots: 2017.
Tolerance cannot be extended to the intolerant.
The inscription on the Statue of Liberty does not mean child-rapists.
My side isn't the one trying to bring back slavery.
Nor is it Republican NRA members gang-raping children in Chicago and which party has been running that city for eighty-six straight years?
As if on cue, "City leadership seems rather clueless about the root cause of the problem...." Yeah you could drop the second half of that sentence.
Bloomberg tries his bigoted hand in Texas-of-all-places, pushing for unsubstantiated denunciations and Soviet-style kangaroo courts without due process. Kick him and his dirty money out.
And think about the kind of costumed sociopaths-with-badges who would support such a bill and enforce such a "law":
Oil prices drop when we drill for our own. Who could have imagined such a thing?
So, after eight years of the Usurper driving never-before-seen numbers of arms sales to private non-government citizens, not only are crime rates down, but so are firearms accidents negligence (not counting government thugs who need entire product lines to be invented to reduce the number of bullet holes in their precinct locker rooms...). How do you anti-self-defense, only-police-should-have-guns perverts explain that? Isn't that the exact and complete opposite of what you always say is supposed to happen?
VCDL-PAC endorses Corey Stewart for Governor of Virginia. VCDL is one of the few organizations to actually regain ground in this war, bringing back unlicensed open carry and being largely responsible for National Park carry. I would consider their endorsement to outweigh all others. Alas, I'm still trapped on the other end of the continent....
I'm morbidly interested to see how this gets blamed on American gun shows and the NRA. Hey I know, let's register all cars with the government! That'll stop it! "Why are Brits being arrested for Tweets while Islamists are free to walk around Parliament draped in the ISIS flag?" Meanwhile Michael G. sends the Epic Bad Timing o' the Very Same Day, commenting, "Running this college editorial on the need to understand and accept Islam the same day a Muslim attacks London pedestrians with a car, then the House of Parliament with a knife. Of course it was a pretty stupid editorial even without the attack. Like the 'obvious' examples of attacks on Islamic culture were all responses to threats. The UK laptop on flights ban was a response to a particularly specific threat. The warning that the same rulings allowing bans on Muslim garb could be used against Christians? That happened a long time ago. And give me a break on 'religion of peace'! When so many who attack us have spent years studying their Koran maybe they have a better idea of what their religion calls for than a college undergrad parroting what someone else told them the Koran says." And then, guess what Wikipedia chose as their Featured Article o' the Day:
Michael follows up with, "You know how [the envirofascists] said [the Dakota Access Pipeline] would be sure to leak and spill oil? Funny how they didn't mention it was because they were going to cut the holes themselves." Because they care so much about the environment. "What I want to know is if they had any way to check and make sure there wasn't oil in the pipeline yet when they started cutting. Because if they just assumed it was empty we are moving into Darwin award territory. Since they don't like fracked natural gas either maybe they could try that on a natural gas pipeline."
It is not Republican NRA members with government permission to carry concealed weapons, who go around raping college students. We're the ones trying to stop it and driving it to other campuses that don't allow students to defend themselves.
Don't Go to College, where thought goes to die, and because there's nothing holding it up.
"...Napoleon emerged from the farmhouse, wearing both his medals (for he had recently awarded himself ‘Animal Hero, First Class’ and ‘Animal Hero, Second Class’)...."
Hey... what if the Russians really did interfere in our elections?
Parking cars in the rain for minimum wage and still behind on the rent which will be going up by a third in May.
That walls-closing-in feeling.

The wave of national suicides continues as Michael G. sends the place where Canada used to be.
To which immigration-policy dot connect, "In the wake of an alleged brutal rape at Rockville High School in Maryland by two illegal aliens last week, Montgomery County Superintendent Dr. Jack Smith is accusing parents of racism and xenophobia.'
And if that doesn't make an outraged parent want to burn the government schools then civilization has already failed.
"Democratic congressional candidate Jon Ossoff has received over $5,000 in compensation from Qatari-owned Al Jazeera since January 2016" and how is that anything but treason?
"Almost every immigration case is a con, something we find out every time there’s a San Bernardino shooting and half the family turns out to have scammed our immigration officials."
Think about the kind of people who keep inviting their own murderers into our country.
We're not the ones who changed.
Ongoing Constitutional Carry and Stand Your Ground action in Minnesota. Take the cake back.
Likewise in the Dakotas and Carolinas, and in Alabama, where "...[L]aw enforcement heads expressed opposition" to not being allowed to rob and kidnap peaceable citizens who didn't beg their extortionate permission to exercise a natural human right. Keep telling me how much "law enforcement supports the Second Amendment".
Blogbrother SMLE Fan observes there are still a few grown-ups in the United States Navy. (...Project cancelled and all data deleted because the design team didn't include a transgender immigrant person of color in 3, 2, 1....)
I'm actually dropping David Weber's A Call to Vengeance from my library hold queue, and giving up on the Honorverse after many years' investment. I expect I'll get it in ebook eventually but Weber is just too cluttered and too much work to read.

[6:41:14 PM] Jeffersonian: http://cerebralzero.tumblr.com/post/158732195182/treat-yourself
[6:42:04 PM] SMLE Fan: there are websites....
[6:43:12 PM] SMLE Fan: there's one, whose name I forget, sells a lot of Czech stuff, including the post-war version of the 251 halftrack
[6:43:54 PM] Jeffersonian: knew about the 251s
[6:44:44 PM] SMLE Fan: someplace else, someone mentioned that the Czechs didn't simply make the russki stuff, but improved them...the guy was especially gung-ho on the BMP-2
[6:45:05 PM] Jeffersonian: Czech craftsmanship
[6:45:15 PM] Jeffersonian: yes, they Significantly Improved many Soviet designs
[6:46:31 PM] SMLE Fan: and this, despite German supervision...they managed to not install five parts where two would do, and they resisted the urge to shoot slow workers, too :D
[6:47:19 PM] Jeffersonian: and, the Czech Republic is the first European nation in approximately EVAR to even consider pondering the possibility of a natural human right to keep and bear arms
[6:48:20 PM] SMLE Fan: indeed
[6:49:58 PM] SMLE Fan: that makes at least one contribution to the west by islam
I wish to acquire this very particular gas block:
It is used by Windham Weaponry on some of their barrels, uppers, and complete rifles. They have told me it is not available separately.
This gas block has:
a Picatinny rail at the SAME HEIGHT as the upper receiver rail;
and a bayonet lug;
and a conventional sling swivel;
and it is pinned to the barrel instead of using set- or clamp-screws.
If you have one, for example taken off a Windham rifle which has been reconfigured, I WILL PAY MONEY FOR IT. Please contact me by clicking "comment" below.
